Re: Midieval Britain

It should be possible to mix a Norman map around 1100 with some Plantagenet/Angevin into a map with similar gameplay to what you´ve got.

I doubt you´d get comments about spaceships and dinosaurs if you stick to something like 1100-1300, which usually is considered the "proper" medieval times in ...

i think spain needs to be more important as a place to get troop bonuses because it was a source of silver and was where the initial conflict started between rome and carthage. it was also populated with fierce germanic tribes as another source of troop bonuses.

Fierce germanic tribes populating ...

Greyed-out or whatever so that it´s clear it´s not a part of the playable area.

As long as it doesn´t look like the european continent is submerged in water I will be happy.

I think you should add a little bit of the continent down south.

no need to add sweden or norway since there is water inbetween but I personally would like something to indicate that Jylland isn´t an island.

The whole thing of taking a country and placing it on some ocean planet in an unknown ...

If you keep the lost continental borders then I think you should make them even more subtle.
They look good but at the same time they are also slightly annoying.. (insert bad joke about girls here)

Freedomland looks empty.

Put David Hasselhoff in there to show that it´s the home of the truly good guys and not just some hollow word.

It was the Sikh empire that held jammu & kashmir. Twenty years after the confederacy was dissolved.

Now it´s probably going to annoy me a little bit to play the map knowing the confederacy never ruled most of the area called by that name.

since you don´t call the continent "sikh empire" anymore ...

Kashmir - did that name exist then? Kashmir has a whole bunch of political issues that I'm keen to avoid
since 1150 at least it seems - both countries use the name, even the same spelling so no political issues with the name.

The old english spelling on maps is Cashmere.

Sikh Empire was actually much larger area than the area allotted to Sikhs - it went as far south as Sind, for example. I'm not certain it would be a greater historical inaccuracy to call that area "Empire" when the real empire was much larger?

At least it would have something to do with ...

this was the best assessment per the religion maps at the time - some grey areas...

This map is very incorrect historically... If a country has been christian for 200 years and is a part of the crusades - how can you consider that a grey area?
