Dont get discouraged at the yo-yo effect of ur score.. i was at 1500 points by game 60 and under 1100 by game 90.. i find once u make a score, it gets easier easier to make it back and go on to ur next goal

Yeah, it took me a while to get and hold 1100. Kept slipping backwards. Somebody just handed my ass back to me on a platter a little while ago though. All in good fun

great job ^_^ i remember the early days how excited i would get to breaka new point record. keep doing what your doing.. you havent even played 100 games and you seem to be doing well. dont worry about where your points are at and focus on finding the best strategies. once you leanr a good technique you'll never forget it. your score will then shoot well into the uper ranks of CC. good luck!

Just to put u into ur place a little at 102 games u were at a whopping 793 points at 55 games u were at ur all time low of 550 points.. so maybe u shouldnt be so quick to put new players down when they are excited about reaching a high for them

Yeah... just find a map you're good at, then keep playing it. I got to major playing age of realms 2! and colonel playing esc games. I took a break from playing aor2 I got to private

I like playing an array of maps. Keeps things interesting, though, it also means I run across people that more or less specialize in the map we're playing and get my butt kicked. I probably should find a map I enjoy and spend some time playing just that map (or keep a couple of games going with that map and use another game to fiddle with random maps).

Oh, I won't stop playing other maps! I just see a lot of people starting 10+ games with the same map and it seems that if it's not a specialty map (AOR for example) then it would be possible to learn some strategy in a "controlled" environment.

As I said above, I'd still keep a slot open for random maps, but I can see some logic in taking something like Australia and playing it until you figure out some different strategies that seem to work. Particularly, like you said, finding settings that you like and going from there.

Of course, that also leads you to pigeonholing your strategy for one map, but I think it's possible to cross map strategize (if that makes any sense)

Although i share in this belief, there are many users that only enjoy playing one map for the majority of the games they play. Due to this the best advice i could give to GSP JR would be that he plays games he will enjoy and the rest will come later.
